Zest for Claude

The Zest connector lets Claude read your Zest taste profile, household and weekly picks, search recipes, and plan meals onto your Zest Menu. Any signed-in Zest account can use it.

Connect Zest to Claude

Connector URL:

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector, name it Zest and paste the connector URL above.
Choose Connect. Claude opens a Zest page: sign in with your Zest account, check what Claude is asking for, and choose Allow.
Back in Claude, turn on Zest in a chat (the + menu, then Connectors) and ask away.

Connectors work in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile. To disconnect, remove Zest under Settings, then Connectors, in Claude.

What Claude can do

Get taste profile. Your allergies, dislikes, diet and the recipes you rated, so suggestions fit you.
Get household. Who you cook for, so plans cover the right number of people.
Get this week's picks. Your personalised weekly recipe picks from Zest.
Find recipes. Searches Zest's recipes and the ones you saved or imported.
Get recipe. One recipe's ingredients, times, servings, ratings, tags and allergens.
Get Menu. The recipes already on your Zest Menu.
Add to Menu. Adds recipes to your Menu, which also builds your shopping list.
Remove from Menu. Takes recipes off your Menu.

Your Menu is shared with everyone in your household, so Zest asks Claude to show you the exact recipes and wait for your OK before it adds or removes anything.

“Plan four dinners for this week. Nothing over 40 minutes, and no mushrooms.”
“Find me a vegetarian curry my family would like and add it to my Menu for 4.”
“What's on my Menu, and which of it can I make ahead on Sunday?”

Your data

Claude only sees what these tools return, and only while Zest is turned on in a chat. The connector can't see your password or payment details, and it can't change your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for how Zest handles your data.

Help

If Claude says the link has expired, choose Connect again in Claude to get a fresh one. For anything else, email support@zestapp.co.
